The "A. Meryl Collection" was conceived
18 years ago, when Fran Springer Interiors began making one of
a kind pieces for clients, in an effort to control the
wood species, style, finish, and distressing, yet still remain competitive
with the industry's high end furniture pricing. Fran herself, began
restoring antiques and crafting one of a kind reproductions more
than 20 years ago.
As our reputation and clientele grew, a small
group of American craftsmen joined our company and, from this
nucleus of skilled furniture makers, a line of Country French,
English, Italian, and Contemporary Home furnishings evolved. These enduring
designs created, can be changed slightly, sized any way, and will
remain in the A. Meryl Collection for years to come. They
will become family Heirlooms for our clients, and always be known
as custom made for that family --
The Learbbarch's Armchair is an example. Inspired from a
combination of English and Scandinavian antiques, and finished to
look 100 years old, a new furniture piece was born. Pricing is determined
by the size of the piece, the finish, and the wood species. We use
African Mahogany. Alder, Oak, and Maple, and in certain cases 150
year old solid oak with a tree edge.
